Recently, all generated ttyrecs that are over 24 hours old have been moved off of the servers and into S3 storage. I’ve created a page dedicated to searching for and downloading those archived ttyrecs – https://www.hardfought.org/nethack/ttyrecs/ – you can also find this page via the ‘NetHack’ menu up above. There’s a process that moves ttyrecs older than a day over to the S3 bucket once per day, so any ttyrecs you’re looking for that are less than a day old will still be in the usual location. This is phase one of some cost-saving measures I’ve recently taken. Been hosting NetHack and it’s variants long enough now, we’ve generated quite a bit of data, enough that it was causing hosting fees to climb. Phase two will happen soon, which will cause the US and EU servers to come down for a very short period of time – when that happens, I’ll give plenty of notice. Phase two will generate the most cost savings for hosting the servers, and will include an OS upgrade to boot.
Other news – Junethack has been over for a few weeks now, that was fun. TNNT 2021 is just right around the corner, looking forward to that. More news regarding it as we get closer to November. Have fun all, cya online.
