Hi all. Figured it was about time for another news update while I’m still able to do one. Just so ya all know, I’m not gonna be available online at all soon after this post for several days. Can’t say why exactly, at least not until it’s all over and done with – and *IT* happens to be classified, so there ya go. I’ll chime back in again when I’m able to, no worries.
So, what have I got for ya today, hmm… first off, Hardfought now has it’s truly first official gaming clan, centered around CS: Source, and we have plans to compete in both the Caleague and the CPL. We just wrapped up final tryouts and disclosed our final picks yesterday on the msgboard here. Yeah I know, there shoulda been a news post concerning all this beforehand. Oh well :-) Anyways… just wanted to congratulate everyone who made the team, and to also say thanks to everyone who came by for tryouts. From what I heard, there were quite a few skilled players who came out to show their stuff, and it was hard to choose only five of ya. We havent forgotton about ya tho – if/when someone drops or we need an extra spot to fill, we’ll find ya.
Stats – after a bit of trial and error and a lot of patience, they’re almost done and back to a normal update schedule. The stand-alone stats for HF 1 and 2 are completed and are doing their daily morning update, HF 3 is finishing up and comprehensive is almost done as well. Sorry that’s it’s taken so long to get this done and fixed since the Psychostats 2.3 update… when I’m finally back home I’ll have more time to make sure any issues that crop up like this again will be handled a lot more quickly.
New maps – the latest update to CS: Source introduced a new map from CS: CZ – de_tides. Seems this map is a lot of fun, at least from what I’m hearing from everyone. Also, I’ll have added two new maps to HF 2 and 3 by the time you read this… an update, that being de_courthouse_final, and a new addition, a remake of de_train. Gonna take cs_assault_tankfinal out of rotation and put de_train in it’s place. You’ll still be able to vote for assault tho if you wanna play it. Be sure to let us know how the new maps play – your feedback has a direct bearing on what maps we host here.
