OK… thought it’d be nice to have a msgboard forum up on the site. This one is powered by the Ultimate Bulletin Board software. I have the code for an .asp based msgboard but it’s not nearly as functional nor as robust as UBB… plus this gives me a chance to further increase my knowledge of Perl and CGI. I’ve got three forums active right now… you can access the forums by selecting the ‘Message Forum’ link to the left. Right now the msgboard is gonna look kinda… bleh, because it’s the freeware version, and you can’t change the look or style of the freeware code. If it starts to get some use I may decide to spring for the license fee for the full registered version. Also… I’m noticing new posts are taking several seconds to go thru… not sure why. Messages DO post, it just takes a bit. I probably need to optimize IIS 5 for Perl… ah well. More later…
